cue the over-analysing. this is just my interpretation but maybe you found out your wife was cheating and brutally murdered her, and then you couldn't cope with what you'd done so your brain made false memories and caused hallucinations, and all the weird halloween demon people are, like, representing your resentment for her for cheating and you also still love her so you run from them. like, the kid on a leash could maybe represent you before the incident, still in love with Jess and without guilt. the kid with the sheet on his head could represent Jess's lover, you don't know who she was with, hence the sheet having no eyes. the sheet could also represent, idk, bedsheets, because... ya know... cheating and whatever. and the leash is maybe that the existence of this mystery person has ruined your view of your relationship with Jess, and you will never be the same. it could also represent control, maybe the thought of this person and their relationship with Jess has taken over your life, become an obsession. the other 2 kids with pillowcases and distorted facial features may represent your mental state when you killed her, you were likely not thinking clearly and acted on impulse, your thoughts warped and messy. the dead cat could represent your life, your future, etc. and how it was destroyed - the cop eating the cat could be how you were placed in a prison and your life was changed forever. the cop could represent the consequences for what you did. the infomercial guy could be the part of you that wanted to kill Jess, the part of you that took over when you killed her. The distorted wall photos could be how your relationship has been tainted and ruined forever. The clown and the sandwiches could represent Jess's infidelity, and the ridiculing from the clown could be you feeling "stupid" for being cheated on. Jess indulging on the sandwiches could be how she "indulged" in doing.. ya know... with another person. okay, that's it.
