Well, he was there and he clapped for you. So maybe he does care somehow but he was just too selfish. Just also thinking, if the guy who came to attack you owed Brio and he did not complete the task, what happened when he got back? Did he let him off because he came back with your letter? I think it could be argued (and he probably did lol) that he succeeded. His task was to get rid of her, and she won't be coming back.

Whether he cares or not, I won't give someone who tried to kill me the time of day. Yeah I dunno about the boy. Hope he's still alive, but don't reaaaalllyy lose sleep about it.
