Maybe, but what if it drives him further down the home he’s been digging? Once he finds out he was wrong about my mother, he may never forgive himself.

Let’s face it, he’s already doing that! Maybe this will get him there faster, but he’s already heading for the rock bottom. Just look what your biological mothers deceit has done to your family thus far! Now at least you both can get some closure. Besides, don’t you think he deserves to know the truth?
