Oof, Cursed areas can really be hard, I'd suggest stocking up on the monsters Silver bullet (in this case shaving cream) and possibly ingraning all of the rules in your head. Try to keep sanity and do NOT stab any family members you suspect to be monsters, You could just be paranoid and tired. and try to get fit so you can outrun the monsters on foot

I don't think it's really the shaving cream but more so its sense of smell. For your second suggestion, I'm not sure where I left the list, and I didn't read it through fully while I was trying not to die. I'll either have to go back during the day or hope it gets mystically re-delivered.

Were there more rules than you included at the beginning of your story? (At least make sure to scroll back and memorize THOSE...that's at least a START.)
