Northern Minnesota/Canadian border is about as desolate as it gets. A moose in the spring is probably the most dangerous thing you could ever run into, they're starving after a long winter a Forest Service person told us, they will attack or kill you they're so ornery that time of year when food is scarce.

I have heard stories about how dangerous they are. I think I vaguely remember my uncle talking about something called a wendigo when I was a kid. Maybe that's what this thing is? It's way too big to be a moose
