here's what i would do:
- move out in the middle of the night
- don't tell your kid about anything
- put it for sale and include the kid in the deal
- take your wife and move to the other side of the world
- get brainwashed so you don't remember your son

Stay awake tonight and monitor this situation. Maybe see if your dad will help alternate nights with you watching the boy and the house. Please update in the morning, if you can.

Do not drink anything! Do not eat anything at home! Call your father and do not fall asleep.

Now that you've posted this, I hope you've locked the kid in his room or something and called your dad for help!

The problem is that with urban legends the more people that know about and believe them the more real and true they can become. The power of thought is a scary thing not to mention with a pure mind like a child's mind it's a breeding ground for bad things to soak up their beliefs. Oh and a little side note. Those kids that are supposedly catatonic they're vegetables their mind is already at laughing island they'll just drop dead properly with a look of horror plastered to their face when the grinning man has killed them or when the other puppet gets to them. Word of warning it's not something that can be stopped only fought against unfortunately you'd have to actually turn the TV on its properly too late for op and his wife though...

Get your wife to safety and see if there's a way to help your son.. That's what I'd do in that situation anyways if I faced that, because we love our loved ones.

Prably about time to smash that old TV an update.. or a cheaper option could be putting some reinforced locks on your bedroom doors an windows.

Time to go full-on hermit family. No T.Vs whatsoever. No electronics for the kid at all. Still watch out though.
