I’ve been wondering what Alexseis appearance is. You’ve described him as having many different features, and although he’s a shapeshifter, his tree appearance seems to be unique for a Leshy. Alexei may be something incredibly special (more so than he already is, being a Leshy and all).

I saw fan art of him recently, it was a very tall human skeleton with a deer’s skull.

Most I’ve seen have deer skull/antlers l, but I’ve also seen some that represent tree creatures. Might just depend on location/mythology/etc.
