Awful odd turn of phrase when the rest of the article says nothing about the WHY the other 4 didn't show.

UPDATE: I'll delete the line about Fox News being political. (They are, but can't even insinuate off of this!) I did some digging, and there's just "they quit for personal reasons" a week and a half before the competition. That means weather is not a factor. But that quote I quoted...

When there's a team of four, and three quit "for personal reasons" a week previous... I'm going to guess that it was more interpersonal reasons. Fifty-fifty whether the girl who performed solo is the heroine of this story.
