It’s against Indian law, according to the lawyer. US speech laws don’t apply anywhere. Even if Netflix chooses to remove this line of dialog from their Indian service, there’s literally no reason to believe they’d remove it anywhere else.

My counterpoint, the character Raj is stating his preference over one Bollywood Actress over another(and possibly his distain for latter). It would be akin to American action film fan saying; "Keanu Reeves is a badass, while Steven Seagull is a fat ass wannabe liar who was never that great even in his hay day."

Yeah but that last sentence is truth.

That's the same with any show with a laugh track. The pauses for the laughs make them sound very unnatural if you remove them, but if you didn't have laugh tracks you wouldn't have those pauses.

To be fair you can do that with any sit-com with a baked in laugh track. It's always awkward because it's never meant to be played without that track behind it.

True. But it also illustrates if the jokes are funny or not. And a lot of BBTs jokes fell pretty flat.
