Pet food is more expensive than human food. No wonder their cost of living is high.

work in a store that sells some groceries. every time i see a little old lady with like 50 cans of wet cat food i worry they are eating cat food instead of human food.

80 cents for a small van of wet cat food. a dollar fifty for a large one 3 dollars and something for a similar sized can of tuna fish.

Look at the side of the can. Pet food has very low energy density. You need to eat a lot of it to compare to the energy in 20p worth of ramen.

hey i didn't say anything other than i suspect it's being done and that cat food is cheaper than tuna fish. I'm not the one you gotta tell that kind of stuff to.

When I wanted to fatten up my old dog, I skipped the dog food and fed it noodles.

A noodle eating poodle? Sorry, it's been years and I've been dying to make that line.

Dried beans, onions, canned tomatoes, rice, will keep you going for pennies.

Idk about your area, but it'l hasn't always been easy to find wet cat food where I am. It's possible they're just stocking up when it's available.
