Well that's it for this sub. We've reached the height of irony, pack it in.

I have a feeling the ladies are going to have more balls to boycott/speak out against this than the men did with Qatar's controversies. Anyone else get that feeling?

Ehh maybe, a sponsorship is a smaller issue than everything that came with Qatar hosting and the women are more reliant on WC income more than the men.

And that's the "other hand" in my initial thought. A lot of these women need the income from the WC. It would be interesting to see who makes any sort of protests. The women who rely on the income, or the stars.

I think this will turn into a fuck around and find out for the Saudis, and I don't think they will be happy. Especially the women's soccer players will turn this into a nightmare for them.

Next step is buying the men’s World Cup. It’s in the bag. FIFA’s not going to turn that down.

Why are the Saudis trying to get people to move there? What demographic would want to move to Saudi Arabia? I mean if I were a millionaire who can move anywhere in the world something like a Greek island might be nice, but Saudi Arabia? What could they possibly offer me that any European country wouldn't also have?

Low, low tax and lots of oil money to throw at recruiting people from abroad who are happy to live on a compound for a few years in exchange for way more money than they'd get in Europe or the USA. I know of a few people who went there after doing MBAs.

Been looking for a country I can move to where having fun is punishable by public execution, beer is illegal and the women are all covered in bed sheets from head to toe. Oh and lots and lots of sand and extreme heat.
