Yeah I’m not making two stops before Wall Street from Bay Ridge when it’s a 35 min express bus trip or a 40 min subway ride.

On a humid 95 degree summer day you might want to re-think that

That express bus is amazing ! I went with my gf and we took the express bus from FiDi to Dyker heights in Brooklyn and it was unbelievably fast. It would have taken us way longer if we would have taken the R train .

Yeah the only bad part is that it’s $6.75 each way so for my commute it adds up!

Damn 6.75, do they all vary in price ? When I took it, unless I’m don’t remember correctly , it charged my card 4.50 which I found pretty cheap for the convenience

Did you already pay $2.75 for the subway? Then that’s why.

iv2892 OP t1_jackjr1 wrote

Nvm , that’s exactly why because I did pay for the subway first less than an hour before catching the bus lol

iv2892 OP t1_jaceu7l wrote

But if you need it for regular commuting it does add up regardless , since unlimited metro cards won’t likely work

They sell unlimited ones for the express bus. It’s $62 a week. But I only take it in the morning and suck it up and take the R home.

I work in fidi and live in bay ridge so this is wonderful, very excited to have a good alternative to the stupid r train or sitting in traffic
