this is a major bummer - the stores on Atlantic and 6th Ave are my go-tos. It's not Fort Knox like most local drug stores, and they always have (had) a good selection. I found out by accident yesterday evening when I stopped in to buy floss. They still have a decent selection of stuff, but they were already out of floss.

I asked the cashier when the last day would be. She said she didn't know but that they were getting one more shipment of stuff, and that would be it.

Oh dammit - have gone to the one on 6th ave pretty frequently but could tell they were in trouble.

It part of the Bed Bath and Beyond 'family' so that tells you something about why they're folding.

Damn. My fiancé and I semi-regularly visit the one on 6th Ave. It’s like the best of BB&B without the hellscape of BB&B. Guess we’re going this weekend!

Just looked up my local one and it’s already been closed. So sad. Such a fantastic store, that so few people knew about until I told them. After bringing some in, they instantly fell in love with it. BBB is bleeding out and it is what I consider from self inflicted injury. They used to be fantastic and the ability to bring in a world of coupons kept everyone coming. A few years back, they decided to try to get people to buy a membership in what they called saving paper print coupons… but at same time, they sent out less to everyone who wouldn’t buy in. On top of that, they also put almost everything in the store on a “Already Discounted” price which meant we could not use a coupon on what looked like a sale item. Thus rendering the big perks that people flocked to their stores useless. Advance 3 years and Bankruptcy!

No!!!! I actually liked Harmon. I felt like the prices were actually right in my budget.

Really sad. My father went to school with the founder's son in the 70's, and I went to school with the founder's granddaughter in NJ. The family eventually sold it to BBB and achieved the American dream since it was founded by an immigrant.

Harmon was there for me recently after spraining my wrist, picked up a brace at half the price anywhere else in the city. Loved having them nearby (UWS).

Very bad news😥 When they said BBB was closing I thought at least there would be Harmon left. Their prices are the best in the city for personal care. Saline solution is such a good deal there, and an alternative to Listerine that is much cheaper but just as good. Among many other items! Their store branded stuff is fantastic.

Do you know if bed bath and beyond is selling off their stuff too?

I think so, but I only went to the standalone store on 21st and 6th.
