Hi all as my title says I'm a 24M coming to America! I'll be in New York for 5 days from the 29/5/23 - 5/6/23 I'm staying just near Times Square!

My itinerary so far is.

Lexington Candy Shop: 1226 Lexington Ave, New York,

9/11 museum/ ground zero! Greenwich St, New York

I'm young I love food and to party and museums and history! looking for recommendations on the best…

Chinese food (China town)

Doughnuts or sweets

Pizza/ Italian reatraunt (little Italy)

And any museums you would recommend or night clubs.

I'm there for 4th of July so any party would be awesome!

Also any do's and do nots or places to avoid!

Born and raised here. Made a list of restaurants to try for cousins visiting pre covid. I think they all are still open. This is not in a particular order just places I think are staples of the NY restaurant scene. I’ve tried maybe 70 percent of this list and have found 0 places I don’t like. They’re spread out the city covering every borough not just Manhattan.

Huh, Crif Dogs is from NY? I thought it was a Berkeley/Bay Area thing, and the “rival” to Top Dog.

The EV location is the only one I can find in the US. Maybe they are local.

Also since you’re Australian I would bring a really big knife. If someone tries to mug you using a knife say “that’s not a knife” then pull yours out and say “that’s a knife”
