I highly recommend everyone listen to the 911 call linked to this article. It's the most Staten Island no-nonsense conversation I've ever heard. These kids are unphased and the operator is annoyed bordering on amused.

Yea, the dispatcher did a great job, as did the firefighters. All in all a great job and save by all.

Absolutely! And the kids stayed pretty calm and seemed to have a little fun when they got the "yell for help."

It sounded like a second dispatcher came on at one point. I like the idea that they were like, get Mike he knows the sewers!
