I love Jackson Heights, but the best thing would be to not tell people how amazing it is lol. Let's keep it this way.

Is Jackson Heights a secret? It has never been a secret as far as the years I lived in nyc. It’s just not super convenient. Best Indian and Mexican food though!

it's as convenient as queens can get, without literally being on the river, considering the lines it's on. but to answer your question i have actually met plenty of "new yorkers" who still treat most of queens like it's leprosy, which is probably good thing now that gentrification is a legitimate threat

It's <15 minutes from midtown Manhattan by the E or F.

Huh, I thought Jackson Heights was one of those open secrets since I've heard about the neighborhood from my transplant friends.

I would move to Jackson Heights in a heartbeat if it weren’t like 3+ miles to any legit parks

Flushing Meadows-Corona Park is 2 miles away. A longer walk, but a quick subway ride on the 7. It’s bigger than both Central Park and Prospect Park. Not nearly as nice, but beautiful nonetheless and so much untapped potential.
