This is almost 100% of the time a money grab scam by the customers. I'm sorry, but given the track record of stories like this I have a hard time believing it.

I’ve had that dish before (not there) and the rice comes separately. So they’re telling us that they poured out the thin, liquidy soup into a bowl, added in the rice, spooned it around and THEN noticed a mouse? Not to mention that the mouse does not look very waterlogged or bloated (like when animals wash up on the beach)? K.

That's true. Rice is always in a separate container. It's like they noticed the mouse mid meal

I’ve been to this exact restaurant many times and they actually serve the rice in the soup 😭

Literally my first thought. People thought I was crazy for defending the restaurant in the Instagram comments but they literally transferred the contents of the takeout container to their own bowls. Like do yall not see the dark ass rodent as you poured??

I might've taken those odds if they didn't have a C rating. Even the dirtiest placest can manage a B. C rating restaurant food must be served straight from the trash. That said, there's a chance the customers did it for that reason.

Bro, the place has had a C rating with 79 points worth of violations since the previous inspection that took place in January of this year:

What a fucking travesty. /s

That's the most damning thing to me. I was skeptical of the story mostly due to denial as this was a place I loved in college but after working in restaurant industry and how easy it is to game even an A rating, even a B grade means there is A LOT of problems

People underestimate how EASY it is to get an A grade. To get anything lower just means the restaurant owners either don't give a f or are extremely incompetent.

I also worked in food industry during high school and college.

The exterminator at my old job used to tell me horror stores about all of these big restaurants with A ratings. He said he would only eat at small mom and pop shops.

But having a C rating might be why they targeted this restaurant. Makes it more believable, as you illustrate.
