There used to be a lot more 9/11 videos on the internet back in the mid-late 2000s. Especially more videos of the carnage that took place at/around the World Trade Center, which included some rare angles. Some were recorded blocks away from the towers, others across the rivers, others were recorded on the streets around the WTC complex, and one or more were filmed right on the Austin J. Tobin plaza. During the 2010s, many of them were taken down due to gruesome content, rendering them lost. Some were lost simply because an account was deleted. Now you can't find those videos anywhere on the internet no matter where you look. If these videos are anywhere to be found, it's likely on some hard drives somewhere. In a personal archive created in the 2000s.
Those videos are important for historical archival purposes and those who have created newer personal archives (and those creating non-profit archives) would need them. One example of lost footage (that is being searched for by a number of people right now in fact) is footage taken on the Austin J. Tobin plaza near the base of the North Tower. It's very graphic, as it shows the jumpers up close, but people want it for the historical angle (and some also want it for the plaza Muzak, which is part of the keeping track of absolutely everything that happened on 9/11.) I want to make an educational 9/11 video with as many angles as possible (and as necessary) to cover each perspective. It's more of a personal thing. The lost plaza footage would cover the southern end of the plaza, for example. Unfortunately it's only remembered as a long removed YouTube repost that had a tasteless shock-value title. Nobody knows who originally filmed it. I'd exclude the gore from my supercut, of course.
So if anybody has a 9/11 archive from the 00s or if anyone knows anybody who has a 9/11 archive from the 00s... there might be some unique historical footage in there that those who care to acknowledge the tragedy would watch and archive for themselves. If you're COMFORTABLE with sharing any rare 9/11 footage, you are welcome to. I know all the footage of the event is traumatizing to many and that nobody has to give up stuff they're uncomfortable with sharing or even looking at. So yeah, as long as you're comfortable with sharing those terrifying videos, you can.

The 9/11 memorial/museum is probably the largest repository of 9/11 artifacts. Maybe they can help.

I would call them directly and not go solely what they’ve put online.
