Exactly this. After some incidents on the subway, I drive now instead. I shouldn't have to feel threatened when I am trying to run errands

I travel into NYC a few times a month on biz and I see this issue getting worse. Sometimes I drive avoid the subway. I don’t feel very safe on the Brooklyn trains any more. The amount of homeless will climb with the colder weather in Manhattan. I would have thought the Pandemic would have allowed time for upgrades at some stations. I haven’t seen much improvements.
