I went to the gym this morning and it was packed. I got out of there after a bit and did a long walk around Central Park instead. Best idea I have had for a while.

Edit: and yes I was in shorts and t-shirt. Bunch of friolentas in the park today.

Did I hallucinate the multiple warm days in December the last few years? Global warming broke the planet lol how do you have any clue this is the last warm day?

There was a January weekend where it was above 65 for 2 days. It was nice. I think it was last year.

Sweater weather ends on Black Friday, IMO the unofficial start of winter. Opposite of March, November goes in like lamb and out like a lion.

VanillaSkittlez t1_iw57i80 wrote

November actually has the single biggest deviance between two months’ average high.

The average high in NYC in October is 67, the average high in NYC in November is 54. No other month to month has a 13 degree difference.

It really does go from warm fall days to early winter real fast.

Lots of time to kill the day of the wedding. If you got all your ducks in a row anyway. Otherwise you'll be running around like an insane person

I thought this was the case a half dozen times already this fall, and yet today I was walking on the beach (LI) with my feet in the water. So maybe/maybe not the last day.

I went to central park and it was nice, but I can't help but whine about all of the people that feel they are above the rules:

  • People smoking weed or tobacco. And not even out of the way areas but main thoroughfares.
  • A guy using an amplifier in the "quiet zone" of Strawberry Fields right next to the imagine mosaic (and the sign which says it's a "quiet zone".)
  • A lady with two dogs off leash in the Ramble (I joked about confronting her in the hopes that she'd lose her job like that other lady doing the same thing.)
  • A guy riding a scooter(a motorcyclish one, not a standing one) on Bethesda Terrace near the fountain and blasting music.

But try and put up an open-sided tent(like at farmer's/flea market) for a gathering and the rangers will be on you in a minute. hah.

I wouldn't call mild annoyance that many of my fellow humans are seemingly incapable of following simple rules rough, but a bath is actually a good idea. Thank you.
