This got delegated to the “weekly crime thread” after it was posted yesterday, even tho it’s hardly a “crime post”. Let’s see what the mods do this time.

The previous thread was all about crime even though the article only mentioned it the opener and in a later paragraph mentioned someone dying in a street fight while not saying if it was even related to his job or not. This will likely devolve into a crime thread regardless of the intent of the article or the poster because this sub is astroturfed to hell.

The “weekly crime thread” was specifically about crime posts not about discussions that happen to arise on a post. They weren’t planning on banning every time someone posts about a crime in a thread that was secondary to the initial topic.

Mods in this sub have deemed crime posts as spam and stared removing them. Why?

Because they are reaching a large number of recipients and do not reflect the actual state of where life in this city actually stands. People like you sharing the same articles of subway incidents is inappropriately portraying NYC to be way more dangerous than it actually is statistically. It’s creating mass hysteria.
