It's legal now to carry pocket knives as long as they're less than 3 inches. It's illegal for you to carry them in the subway though. And keep it in your pocket not hooked on a belt. Keeping it hooked on a belt is considered concealment and you would be arrested for that. I suggest you start carrying a pocket knife.
