Maybe it is a corporate narative but it doesnt mean it isnt true.... ny has the taylow law to prevent cops and fire fighters from striking to make sure labor conflicts dont disrupt emergency services.

The Taylor Law says it's illegal for public workers to strike (these nurses are at private facilities, the law doesn't impact them). But regardlesss, speeding is also illegal. You can do it, but there's consequences. There's also work actions, like the recent NYPD slowdowns and the DOC sickouts.

Im not having a convo about rights. Nurses have the right to stike. Suits have the right to underpay and overwork their employees. Its irrelevant to the fact that people will die on the strike. And I condemn those slowdowns and sickouts.

Underpaying and overworking in healthcare leads to deaths. Strikes are planned in advance. Facilities have notice and contingency plans. Any deaths fall on management. The nurses are fighting for better patient care
