Mom appears to be approaching dementia or other significant mental deterioration - what resources are out there to support her financial (and personal) safety?

My mother (64yo) appears to be approaching or already have Alzheimer's, dementia, or some other mental issue reducing her ability to manage her day to day life and keep herself safe (she can’t remember if the grocery store is a right or left out of her driveway anymore).

1. are there any resources available for me and my sister to start researching in-home care or nursing-homes to help manage her day to day? Or are there other options?

2. She is clearly unable to manage her financial life (and safety). Are there are any resources out there to support the financial management and safety of someone in her condition?
