>It doesn't really work like that. If people could reliably flip money into more money in a week, nobody would work.
Let me introduce you to the world of "resellers" where people spend money for things, usually used, and resell them for profit :P
I hear that works great for penny stocks.
There’s nothing you can do within a week
Can you afford to lose the entire $290? If not, you don't really have options in such a short time frame.
If there is snow where you live, buy a snow shovel for $20 and offer to shovel people's driveways for $20-50/pop.
That’s a great idea but I’m in Alabama, not really a lot of snow here to the point I can be outside shoveling.
I can’t afford to lose the entire $290, but $290 won’t get me anywhere so I’m not against potentially losing it all to gain more.
So now I'm curious how much you think you need to avoid some unpleasant fate.
Can you find a used power washer on Craigslist?
I’ll search now, thank you.
The best possible investments form an efficient horizon where risk and reward directly trade off against each other. You can make worse investments than the efficient horizon but nothing better.

Bottom line: if you want extraordinary return, and anything in a week qualifies, then you have to take on extraordinary risk.
Alright then, that’s that.
Want to maximize potential profit? Gamble. There’s no maximum on potential. Of course the expected gain is negative. In case this isn’t clear, don’t actually gamble. Your potential losses are 100% and more likely than gains.
Advice on what I’d do? That depends entirely on why you are trying to wring money out of a specific bankroll in a specific short timeframe. Without that problem, depending on the situation, I would pay off debts, then put money in the bank or in an investment. Those pay in months and years, not days.
I don’t wanna get too personal or in depth as to why I exactly need the money, take the scenario in your head & create it from the main idea that “If I don’t get X amount of money in a weeks timeframe C is going to happen, & you really don’t want C to happen.”
I mean, is there really nothing I can do? Legally of course is my first option but I’m not against foxing around if I don’t have much of a choice.
This is going to sound condescending, I’m sorry I don’t know how to say it better.
Find a trusted adult and explain the situation. If you were my nephew, friend’s kid, or intern and you needed $250 or you’d get your legs broken—I’d bail you out and then give you a massive come to Jesus speech about how the hell you ended up in such a fucked up situation at 17.
It’s cool, I guess I’ll just explain the situation.
Basically, a friend of mine in a gang ended up hiding his half pound of weed in my book-bag one late night when we were all driving around looking for something to get into. We ended up getting cross faded that night & I can’t really explain to you how the fuck it happened but I lost the fucking bookbag. Now he’s freaking the fuck out & the dude that fronted him the pack is threatening to kill us both if we don’t bring him $750 by Monday.
I’m too scared to tell anybody cause these dudes are serious & kind of notorious in the city for being ruthless, I live in Birmingham Alabama for reference.
Your friend isn’t really your friend if he did that
Yeah I fucking hate the guy now but we’re in the shit together at this point, I don’t see the point in cutting ties until we both figure this shit out.
Yeah. Again, if I was your uncle or whatever I wouldn’t necessarily go to the cops if there was a cartel or something involved. But you’d get the mother of all lectures about straightening out your life and staying away from dirtbags.
If it was so easy to grow your money that quickly in a week, wouldn't everyone do it? I'd be a millionaire by Friday.
Dude you need a job.
I have a job, but I get paid bi-weekly, only reason I have this $290 is because I got paid today. & The pay period is weird, I only got paid for one week of work this time.
I need the money by Monday. I don’t know if the dude will give us another week.
Use it to put gas into your car and drive to a job.

OP no one knows who you are. There is no point in hiding whatever your issue you. You need to just tell everyone your issue so we can tell you what to do. You can get a cash advance if you need it etc. But no one can help you with pointless cryptic messages and asking questions that amount to asking for free money.
What do you need money for? There is no magical way to duplicate money or else everyone would be doing it. You can't flip 290 in a week into some big stack of cash.

If you have a job try and get a cash advance or borrow some money from someone. The correct thing to do is to not get involved in crime. There isn't much you can do to magically get 750 dollars. Bro I would just ask to borrow 50 bucks from everyone I could and eat the shit paying them back late while they all hound you at this point. If your dad/mom/grandparents have money .. ask them for the money take the ass wooping and clean up your life.
Also just to point out. I absolutely understand to be honest. I was very deep in the wrong places when I was a teenager. But getting away from all that stuff was the best thing I ever did. I spent too many days on drugs or with drug dealers. Just pay back your debt and get your shit together. A normal life is 1000% better than fucking around with bad people.
Buy a salt spreader and shovel with it, go to the homeowners in your neighborhood or privately owned small businesses (eg local barbershop) and offer to shovel and salt their property.
Scott’s seed spreader is about $30 Really good shovel is about $50 to $80
If you keep your travel costs and salt/calcium chloride costs minimum while still providing a good service you can make that $290 back in a month then start profiting on that $290 in the following months.
This plan depends a lot on the weather in your area but it’s not that different from lawn services for home owners. And given how expensive a good self propelled lawnmower is it’s actually cheaper to do small snow removal (curbs, sidewalks, small driveways and steps) than it is to cut yards.
This! Or buy some cleaning supplies and clean houses.
Look into reselling or flipping where you buy something and flip it for a profit on sites like facebook market place or ebay. There's plenty of content on Youtube covering the topic.
Alright thank you, I’ll look into it right now.

Buy a snow shovel and knock on some doors
Get a JOB! If you work fast food making 10 dollars an hour, you work 80 hours you got 800 dollars.

You can gamble the money (e.g. speculative investments) but then you are more likely to lose it than to increase it.
If you loan it to someone, you'd make hardly any interest and run the risk they don't pay you back.
If you were industrious, you could turn the $290 into equipment that would let you better charge for your services, or advertising to raise awareness, but then you also invest the time.
