In desperate search of more places with a vibe and ambiance like The Dandelion. A fireplace would be phenomenal, but looking for the same kind of homey and somewhat European vibes.

Solid spot, like an old English library. Do they still do gourmet grilled cheese?

One of my fav places to read, if I can snag it, is in the big leather chair in front of the (not-working) fireplace at Chapterhouse on 9th and Bainbridge.
This is one of my go-to spots :)
Think of all times you've sat where each other has farted!
how heartwarming!
how fartwarming!
Wtf is up with their wire chairs though?
Or that maybe a single outlet actually works....
The dining room at Wm. Mulherin’s Sons had a nice fire going in the fireplace last night, very cozy.

Race street cafe has a fireplace.
Was the first place I thought of when I read this post
say hi to my brother
Hawthorne's. Fireplace and all!
Hawthornes sucks. Waste of a liquor license tbh.
Plus, Devils Den is right down the street another great location.
Moriarty's
This looks adorable!!
They have great wings too
Fireside tavern all the way….it’s like visiting your uncles house you barely know, the one that curses at the tv and smokes cigarettes and doesn’t really ever talk to you…
Oh my God that is one of the most underrated barbeque spots around!
you'd love the Black Sheep on 17th St near Rittenhouse
If you’re down south, Red Hook is an excellent little coffee shop with fantastic food. Can get a bit busy though. Cozy.
Checked this one out today and loved it :)
Good king tavern
Harp and Crown
For a cozy/friendly down-home feel bar, you cant do much better than McMennamin's in Mt Airy. Chill folks and great wings
Upstairs bar at Standard Tap
Just want to plug /r/PhiladelphiaEats!!! This question is perfect for that sub. Always love more activity there!
Awesome, thank you!!
Also a big fan of Dandelion and Chapterhouse. Add Victoria Freehouse to your list, for an ultra cozy British pub.

Devils Den - used to be our go-to when snowed in
Devils den sadly doesn’t exist anymore!
It's closed. Looks like a pizza shop or Italian place is opening in that spot. Hope they kept the fire place.
It’s actually a bacon themed restaurant opening there I think?
Oh that's right. Drove past there yesterday and was confused by the sign.

Bloomsday Cafe is cozy!
When I read the title of the post I was like, “Dandelion”. But then I read the post lol.
Monks Cafe is cool too!
Kanella’s?
Bloomsday Cafe. Get a seat by the fireplace.
Plough and the stars has a cozy fireplace! And royal Boucherie def has similar vibes to the Dandelion
Brauhaus Schmitz has some potential to be cozy. Asked to be sat in the back room, the lighting isn’t as harsh.
Pub on Passayunk East mayhaps.
anyone mention White Dog Cafe yet
Grindcore has a sofa, books, and a fireplace, but I don't think it works
One Shot, N. Libs.

Rex at the Royal has a bit of a Viennese cafe vibe decor-wise, don't think they have a fireplace though.
The olde bar!

It's a bar but 1 Tippling place is very homey. They have couches and it feels like you are in a grandmother's living room in a good way. Also drinks are good.
