A small miracle just occurred: a mechanical street sweeper drove down Girard Ave in Brewerytown, sweeping the street

I've lived at my current place for 7 years and have never seen a mechanical street sweeper doing it's thing on Girard before. Sure, it drove down the middle of the road once and probably didn't do anything, but the city attempting to do basic city things it hasn't done before is a big win, IMO

Two weeks ago I was walking on Broad at Fairmount and one of these was going north on Broad. It wasn't using any water so not sure how much it really vacuumed up. Maybe the city only has one?

why do people care about this so much? boston had it and you just ended up with about 5 parking tickets a year if you were a resident because its infrequent enough to forget but frequent enough to fuck you regularly.

my block looks like its trash day on trash day and then just looks normal...
