It’s been 5 months they do it daily and haven’t brought in materials in the last month . Nor were they doing it daily

Damn, 5 months to rehab a house? This is the work I do. They must suck or the house was really bad. I’m curious though. You are home all day watching them. This means they aren’t taking parking from you. You move whatever barriers yet they are still able to get those spots daily. This means they aren’t taking spots from anyone. I’m not sure I understand the issue.

The house next to me has been 2+ years. No permits and they don’t pay taxes on it either. The contractors suck and I think the owner stops paying them because they show up for 2 weeks and never come back.

The city is definitely still charging taxes. It doesn’t work that way. Why don’t you confront the owner?

Oh I know I looked it up on atlas. They’re just not paying them.

They will eventually. City will put a lien on the house. The taxes don’t go away.

They don’t go after everything. Two houses near me have been delinquent on taxes for over 20 years. 🤷🏻‍♀️

They can’t sell the property without paying the taxes. The city isn’t in the business of making people homeless but the taxes don’t just disappear.

They get settled at closing. That’s not the same as paying your taxes like a normal person. 😐

Sounds like you belong in a HOA. Your neighbor not paying their taxes is between them and the city. The city will eventually get its money and it’s none of your business. It doesn’t effect you. Now, give me another downvote.

That’s a fun assumption. I’m not home all day I have cameras and it’s the house next to mine.

  1. Nope wasn’t bad at all.
