From their instagram

“Thanks to our friends at @wooder_ice and @fox29philly we made a lot of new social media friends recently, and we figured now is the perfect time to reintroduce ourselves! PGP is the G.O.A.T non-profit with the mission of Goats for the Greater Good. When people ask us what Philly Goat Project is, we love to explain that it's really about the community of people that grows around the goats. Sure, we have 13 adorable, lovable, selfie-able goats, but it's about how we partner with them that matters. The goats act as ambassadors for our mission, which includes early literacy, environmental education, animal-assisted therapy, community wellness, and teen job skills training. One of our favorite programs we offer is our free monthly All Abilities RAMbles, which is our safe, sensory-friendly space for folks with special needs and their friends & family. If you know someone who might be interested in this event, we still have space for our next one coming up on July 16th. PGP recently filmed a segment with @whyy's @yououghtaknowtv about our animal assisted therapy programs, and we can't wait to share it when it's aired! PGP also has tons of free community events! Check out our calendar online to see where our goats will be next! Whether you're a new or old friend of PGP, we are so grateful for you, we appreciate your support, and we welcome you to our goat family.”

That's a lot of words to say "Our organization has a mascot"

Are the goats mascots if they’re the cause d’etre of the organization?

My mom volunteers with the Philly Goats and it's basically the cutest thing on the planet. And you can hire them for yardwork or book them to just come visit. The goats are so chill!

Love Philly Goat Project! Apparently, you can actually hire them to bring some goats to a party or event for a personal petting zoo. And the handlers will share goat education. My work did this once for a party for us and it was the best thing ever!

A 1 hour show of nothing but goats meandering around on stage striking poses sounds fun.

I've dabbled in photography as well as marketing & communications and I just want to say -- the photo of someone taking a photo of the goat is far more interesting than the photo of just the goat.

In fact I'd go so far as to say the "photographer" seen in this photo doesn't even need a working camera. They're a prop in this, the real photo.

Nice work all around.

Love the Philadelphia goat project. My husband has been talking about wanting a goat. I took him to their goat happy hour. He had a blast.

She's the queen bee of the goats.

We LOVE Philly Goat Project. They do a Christmas tree event each year at Awbry (I’m sure I’m spelling this wrong) Arboretum and it falls on our son’s birthday. It’s become a cute tradition for us to drop off our tree and see him maybe pet the goats, but usually just make eyes at them and run around like three year olds do.
