I am looking for an affordable location to host 30-40 people for a 30th bday—Woody’s is simply over my budget.

Would be ideal if it was BYOB or BYO drinks and food, but was already furnished in some way.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Just went here last weekend and there was a bday party. Fun little spot!

I have to agree. I had my 30th here and it was so much fun and not that expensive! It's also close to American Sardine Bar if you want an after-party spot.

Might be worth checking out the Ukie Club if there's nothing going on there that night. Big space, relatively furnished, etc.

Ukrainian league in Fairmount is ideal for just renting a space - I believe you can bring all your own stuff.

Paddywacks on south street is where my wife is doing her 30th, we are doing a food and booze package and people are buying tickets - not everyone would find that appropriate to invite friends and ask them to pay, but we do :) the tickets are cheaper than most would spend on dinner and drinks so it makes sense for us and people have been receptive

Well, what do you consider affordable?

El Mezcal Cantina has party space on second floor. I’m guessing it would be really reasonably priced.

Check out peerspace. (Like airbnb for event spaces) We had a party for 40 people in Old City for $600 for 6 hours. It had tables and chairs and a fridge, but we had to bring in food and drinks.
