Does anyone know whether that’s an Old Style date?

Sounds like we switched with Britain, as that year is when they switched. If you use Linux, open a terminal window and enter cal 9 1752 you may see those 11 days missing, with a jump from the 3rd to the 14th.

The song Political Mysticism by the band Make Believe is about this very event

It’s the date that William Penn arrived and it’s on the City Charter

If that’s Old Style October 27, it would correspond with a modern (New Style) date in early November or something like that. I’m wondering which style was used.

Heileman’s Old Style was the only thing that popped into my head and made me confused.
