I want to surprise one of my friends who loves Soju and Sake, but none of the beer/wine dealers near me (Grad hospital, Fitler, Rittenhouse) sell it.

Would love to support a local business and willing to travel anywhere in CC to get a bottle or two!

The state store at 12th and Chestnut has soju.

You could try one of the Korean restaurants in CC to see if they will sell you a bottle or two. I’ve noticed that it’s become a lot harder to get soju at state stores for some reason.

I think the only Korean restaurant near me with Soju is probably SouthGate. I'm less familiar with anything that might be in the Chinatown area, though, if you know anything there.

The new H-Mart in North Philly has a pretty good selection for the area. Not CC but you can stock up on tons of Asian groceries while there

Zama in Rittenhouse has a great selection of both! It's a full restaurant but you can definitely walk in and buy a bottle of something.

PA wine and spirits has a pathetic Asian selection. If you don't mind driving over the bridge, the big Roger Wilco has a decent amount.

Royal Izakaya has a big Saki/soju list. Not sure if they would sell you a bottle but it’s worth the trip for the food alone

Olde Nelson has some soju at a few of their locations, I know they have it at the one on Spring Garden for sure.

It's worth a ride up to H-Mart in North Philly. The location is the best one in the area. They have Soon Hari soju and some sake varieties. Next choice would be Total Wine, at least for the sake selection. Your absolute best bet for soju and sake in the tri-state area is to venture up to Mitsuwa Marketplace in Edgewater, NJ. There's an entire aisle of both.
