piggybacking on this - i seem to remember at some point security would clear the parking lot when the game starts - that is, you cant just tailgate for the whole game. Any idea if that is true? im also planning to just go down and figure it out…

Xfinity Live will definitely fill up early. I would recommend getting there before 7 if that's where you want to go.

Xfinity will be a disaster. I walked by it last Saturday 2 hours before the NLCS game and the line was down the block. I'm sure some of those people had game tix and left before game time but I imagine the line will be even more insane this week. I'd go with Chickie's or Philadium. I've actually never watched a game at Philadium, usually just go there after games, so not sure how packed it might be but at least Chickie's is big.

Line started getting bad at like 6:30 PM on friday for the game but we still made it inside and found seating. Could always go to the live casino too if xfinity is too crowded.

They were doing that during the regular season this year- when I was at a game in July they made us go inside around the 3rd inning or so (lot K). Not sure if they're letting people hang around longer in the post-season?

Isn't the Wells Fargo center opening up the lower level bars and airing the game on the jumbotron?

Xfinity is the defacto option, but you need to be in-line 1.5-2 hours before the first pitch if you remotely want a shot of getting in The cover for Game 1 Friday was $20, and there were no drink specials so I ended up getting hit rather hard in the wallet. Wouldn't recommend it, personally. Additionally, they don't tell the line when they cap so you could end up waiting in a non-moving line past the first pitch, for a long time, before you realize your chances of getting in are zero.

Chickies and Petes won't be as bad but there will still be a considerable line. I would recommend also getting there pretty early.

You will probably be able to get into Live! Casino, personally I'm not as familiar with the amenities in there as I don't gamble as much.

If you are planning on tailgating, and want to take full advantage of that without traveling/waiting for these options I would recommend leaving your tailgate 30 minutes before the game and taking the Broad Street Line back up to Center City.

I've been doing this recently for tailgates (Birds/Phillies) and I recommend it over any of the options down there. I don't really want to leave a tailgate early with more than an hour left to wait in line and the BSL is very fast with plenty of trains north.

You will probably be able to get into a regular downtown bar with a more comfortable yet still exciting atmosphere, that's probably cheaper, and without a cover or massive wait for drinks.

Free entry into the Wells Fargo Center where they'll be serving $5 beers. Even though it's free you still have to register because they're going to scan barcodes at the door.

Edit: Oops nevermind...I think this sold out!

What about Live! Casino? It's like 5 minutes away and I'm sure they have a bar and a bunch of TVs
