So, today I went to a range and tried to rent some guns with some friends. The owner told me "we don't rent guns anymore, because Covid. It is unlikely you will find any other range that rents guns in PA.

I have an accent, so I think it is a pretty blatant lie. You guys tell me.

Nah, it's true.

Off Ready Aim Fire's website:

"Due to COVID-19 restrictions, rental guns as well as loaning of eye and ear protection are not available at this time. Please plan accordingly."

The rentals desk is open at Target Shooting Solutions way out in Avondale. But it was closed for a while during COVID. They’re still not renting ears & eyes (I think?). In addition to the protective gear the main issue seemed to be that many stores sold their rental fleet off during the huge gun purchasing boom at the start of the pandemic and for a long while only wanted to sell their limited ammo stock if you were also purchasing a gun.
