Where can I get some good pies for the holiday at this late hour? On family pie duty and I completely procrastinated, and before I attempt a Hail Mary and make my own, I wanted to see if anyone had any recs for places that are still taking orders. Can go anywhere in the city or nearby.

Thanks!

EDIT: Pies obtained this morning. Beiler's has a smooth operation set up right outside the entrance to RTM. Seemed to have tons of stuff if you're still looking, but probably will not last long!

Costco sells really big pumpkin pies for $5.99. They have others as well, but I’m partial to pumpkin.

A number of places at Reading Terminal Market have varieties of good pies. Beilers being just one of them .

FWIW pumpkin pie is super easy to make and pilsbury crust tastes pretty damn good.

Just buy some pie crusts or make them - it's like the easiest thing to bake ever. Fill them with whatever you feel like. Pies are like the easiest of desserts to be left in charge of.

Stocks is great but you have to get in line super early, as it usually wraps around the block. You can also go mid day where lines aren’t as long but things tend to sellout

This is a bit off topic but if anyone ever travels to Vermont, the Vermont Country Deli in Brattleboro has the best pies I have ever tasted in my life.

Just make a butter crust, or purchase a premade one. Roll/press into a 9-inch pie dish. Thinly slice 6 apples, 3/4 cup sugar(do 50-50 white and brown), 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/2 tsp nutmeg. 2 tbsp butter. mix all ingredients, toss into the crust. Cover with top crust, and make sure to add some vents, or make a lattice with the top crust.

Bake at 350 for 35-40, or until apple filling is bubbly, and crust is golden brown. Set aside, let cool, and serve warm with a scoop of your favorite vanilla or maple ice cream.

(takes all but an hour)
