It certainly can if the child wasn't brought back safely. It's based on the outcome of your reckless or negligent action.

Yeah and speeding is a summary offense that can result in manslaughter if you cause a fatal accident.

There is nothing they can do anymore once they fucked up this badly. They aren't in control of the situation once they left their child behind. You can choose to stop speeding at any time up until you crash.
