Fill that with straw, not blankets. In cold weather, a blanket can get cold and soggy, leading the cat to freeze to death. Straw is both insulating and drying.

It’s actually heated because I don’t want him to get cold, you can see the extension cord on the side! Plus he usually comes inside if it gets really cold.

Okay, as long as he’s got indoor access and warmth. But if you have to be away and he has to be outside, don’t take chances. A double cooler shelter with styrofoam lining and straw makes for a snug winter shelter.
