As long as the government is making tax money off of it, it's going to be around forever. Good luck getting an ammendment change, especially when supreme court is a majority right leaning.

All I'm saying is its ridiculous to make a statement that the government is going to take guns away and destroy them. There would be an uprising. Crime would probably increase due to criminals knowing people don't have guns to protect themselves.

If anything it will hurt the people more who need to protect themselves. Criminals will still have guns regardless of them being banned, if it did happen.

Gun violence is less in states where people carry guns, because criminals know better bc alot of people are carrying.

They're here to stay.

What Philadelphia needs is more law enforcement and more officers on the streets but the brilliant people who defunded the police have made things worse.

I didn’t say the government will, I said they should. I have never seen convincing data that handgun ownership (or CCLs) decrease crime, though gun ownership certainly increases risk of death by firearm. Also, why are you making things up about defunding the police when the current budget is the highest its ever been?

I really don't give a shit about this, I was just saying your idea to put all the guns in a gun furnace of your dreams was stupid. Nothing will change. Get used to it. I can pull references of what I was referring to but this will just never end.

Everyone has guns in Phila. By your logic, we should be the safest city in the country. As it turns out, when everyone has guns, some people will use them.

Everyone has guns in Philly? Blanket statement, lazy, and not true.

The real problem is drugs and needing more law enforcement cracking down on dealers, labs, distribution points, etc.

The government needs to Crack down on regulating oxycodone and prescription opiates which leads to harder drug use and more crime.

The root evil of gun use is substance abuse. Instead of going after guns, they should be trying to heart of the problem.

I’m glad to see you support enabling drug dealers and people with mental illness kill themselves and us as efficiently as possible. Also, yes, it’s clear that a large population of Philadelphia residents have firearms and it’s also clear that a large population of Philadelphians like to use those firearms. You can’t in good faith dispute this.

I never said I support drug dealers and people committing suicide. Go fuck yourself, don't put words in my mouth asshole.

You're a total piece of shit to say that I support such things. I literally just said we need more police to Crack down on drug dealers and you come back with this?

You're delusional and a waste of life.

Where did you learn that gun violence is less in states where people carry guns? This CDC graphic suggests otherwise.

I don't remember. I'm not a walking stat book. I don't really care. Not talking in circles about this shit. I was just ragging on this guy who wants to scoop up guns and take them away from everyone bc it's his world and we all live in it

Well if you don't know what you're talking about then don't say it. States that carry generally have more gun deaths than states that don't.
