I am with you totally! However, the first time I ever saw Rocky Horror Picture Show movie was on Prism and yes, by today’s standards I was way too young to have watched that movie, but it was pure joy for me! Still love it, so thank you PRISM!

Nothing like trying to watch nude scenes through the scrambled images coming through the switcher box when your parents weren’t subscribers

Took me 20 years to put together it was called Prism because they showed events from the Spectrum.

My dad was a cable instillation guy back in the late 80s. I remember this story he used to tell about the time he was sent to Chester to do a job and ended up getting chased with a knife. Must have been disconnecting someone’s cable lol

It was only recently that I realized that they called the network “Prism” because it let you see The Spectrum

They were the best, but they weren’t on PRISM, so I was always disappointed when the game was on there. Bill Campbell announced the games on PRISM but I can’t remember who else did.

I was a kid at the time and I didn’t know that Bill used to be the regular play by play guy for the Phillies before Harry, Richie, and Andy. Those were the only announcers I knew at the time.

Cable guys would go in to the houses to do an install and come out to have an empty or missing truck. They used filters back then, these small cylinders (a little smaller then a roll of pennies). You would just screw them on to your cable line and they would give you different channels.

When we first got PRISM in '80-'81, they would run 24 hours on weekends. HBO back then was still going off the air late at night and return around mid-day so being about to watch films and stuff around the clock (if you wanted) on weekends was a thrill. Loved PRISM!

I watched this as a child (always had a tv in my room) and I thought it was some wierd fever dream until i googled what details i could remember a few years ago to find out that it was a real thing I watched and I remembered it pretty accurately.

To this day whenever there was a somewhat more obscure movie that my brother and friends saw a lot growing up that not many others have seen, we just say "must've been a Prism movie".
