Not sure about just the rolls but I've seen bahn mi prices in Chinatown are like double or triple the price compared to Washington Ave.

Places on Washington raised their prices within the last year or so too.

Banh Mi Cali is still also relatively cheap. Like $7-8 a sandwich, albeit maybe not quite as full as other places but arugably just as good. Try the meatball, it's this fatty, porky, fish saucy, meat pastey goodness.

I also really like the bread they use, I don't think it's traditional but it's a little chewier which I prefer. It might just be Amoroso.

That's not Chinatown or Center City

No, but it's the best in the city. QT is good, but it's worth the short bus ride on the 47.

They're great. It's where I get them from now. Just wanted to know if there was anything good closer by.

Pho cali has good Banh mi, and there’s a bakery in Chinatown (forget where or what the name was), but they have $4 pre made Banh mi sitting in a big basket and they are incredible.

Literally called just Asia Bakery, big red sign. The bread though is not traditional and they're untoasted. They're okay, if you go there again, try the big steam bun instead.

QT and Banh Mi Cali make good banh mi, not sure if they sell just the bread but it’s worth asking. I usually stick up at Ba Le and they freeze well.
