Winter plowing season is upon us. They can’t hit those things with plows.
They just installed new ones on second street north of Thompson. The plows will occasionally knock one off but they don't take them down for the season.
Sorry, I should have said they don’t LIKE to hit them. They CAN but from experience, it’s like getting hit in the ass with a 2x4.

Motorcycles and ATVs are not bothered by speed bumps, they are off road vehicles. The motorcycles can also just go between the speed bumps
Can’t wheelie over them, id bet
Edit: unless your Travis Pastrana
You'd be betting wrong
I'm all for speed bumps, I think they are great for slowing down cars in pedestrian heavy areas, but they just won't do anything for dirt bikes and atvs
Bro that’s Travis-freakin-Pastrana. I’d bet you the speed bumps make it a whole lot harder to wheelie for your average rider
I mean that was just one of the easiest videos to find, and while it is a pro they were doing much more than going over a single speed bump so I figured it kinda cancelled out. That said, I still think speed bumps will do nothing for bikes and ATVs even when they are doing wheelies. Another 3 minutes on YouTube found this
Upcoming road work? Also they should've painted them yellow.
People would just drive in the parking lane and in-between them to dodge them anyways so they were just useless for most cases.
Maybe they were too tall/short? The city installed some on Limekiln recently that are so tall that some regular cars don't have sufficient ground clearance for them, people have been trying to get them removed for months now.
No one slows down for speed bumps.
Jim Kelly is getting pretty lax about hiding the fact that he actually is the head of an underground street racing operation.

Someone from OTIS spoke at the Mantua Civic Association last week. I missed it but just emailed the guy to see what the explanation is.
