I don't think anyone's going to take the mattress, though. You can put it out with the regular trash as long as it's bagged, and you can get the bags at a hardware store.

Donate to Habitat for Humanity ReStore -- they will pick up furniture if it's usable. If they don't want the mattress, you can put it in a mattress bag and put it out for trash pickup.

Instead of selling, list your stuff on Craigslist free and someone will come take it off your hands in under an hour. This is how I get rid of things that no one in my buy nothing group wants
