LOST AND INJURED DOG - please help signal boost

DESCRIPTION: Pitbull mix with short, light-brown hair. Has a white patch on his chest and a scar down his belly.

Medium size, 50 lbs, microchipped.

LAST SEEN: West Philly on 45th St between Larchwood and Baltimore. He was hit by a car and immediately ran off and down Larchwood Ave towards 44th st. He was last seen there around 11:20PM on December 10th. He’s an anxious and shy dog, so he’ll run away most likely, so please just call us if you see him at all. 646-894-7657.

Extremely pleased to tell you all: Zeitoun has been found, with the help of an online tip, some wonderful folks in the Philly dog tracking community, and a rotisserie chicken! He’s lost a bit of weight but otherwise seems healthy & is getting checked over by a vet now.

Make sure you go IN to the shelters- do not just call, they are terribly overcrowded and overworked and can and do miss or confuse information. Do not wait for a call from them, keep calling/going in.

That is great advice, I will pass it on to the owners. I know they have definitely gone in person to at least a few shelters.

I wonder if he is hiding in the cemetery? It is somewhat quiet there he might have found his way there to hide... just throwing some ideas as to where he may be. Hope you find him ..

Hey, appreciate the interest. Unfortunately no, Zeitoun has not yet been found.

On a bright note, the owners actually found a different dog that had been missing for 6 months while on their quest to find Zeitoun. So that pup has fortunately been rescued!

The owners haven't given up and are still actively looking for their lil guy.
