Haha, no, an acquaintance found him! Apparently their dog doesn’t get on well with cats so it’s safer to hopefully find the owners or surrender (if it comes to that)

Aw, well I hope she finds her home or a new, even better home.

Try posting pic on Nextdoor. I got my cat back that way.

We are also in East Mt Airy and took in a stray nearly identical to that one, in June. There's an adult cat that looks just like her with a similar collar that also roams the neighborhood... Keep meaning to try to talk someone into TNR for that mamma.

Regardless of whether you keep them or not, make sure to have them spayed/neutered! A local charity called Forgotten Cats Clinic does low cost treatment.

Try posting to FB as well if you haven't yet. Hopefully if the owners are just as diligent as you are in returning him or her back home, you two will cross paths.

Additionally, if you have the time for this (and if I'm not mistaken), if the cat has a microchip, you should be able to bring kitty to a vet office to confirm if chipped or not. Just an option for a last resort measure. Not sure how many owners actually chip their cats, for you may be better off using flyers and/or the internet to locate the owner.

EDIT: Nvm. You said you were gonna see if it's chipped. Good looks.
