has anyone followed any court proceedings in the city? there is a criminal prosecution that is beginning with a preliminary hearing right after xmas that i would like to follow - i expect if i want to know what is happening/what happened that i need to attend the prelim/trial to follow.

does anyone know how to find out what time certain court events begin & how to navigate something like this ? i hate that im asking, but in a city with such a high prevalence of violence.. someone here might have some guidance on how to follow up on this. hit my dm's, reply here, i dont want to deeply discuss what/whom i am following but i will say a friend was murdered and i would like to follow the case.

thank you! i found the date, if you have any experience - i have a follow up : do they post times or with the prelim is it just a show up for the day type of thing?

It’s a show up for the day and expect a thing. What time it happens depends on the attorney schedules and the ADA’s witness schedules.

It should show upcoming/scheduled court appearances and what courtroom they’ll be in. It may say 9am and the case doesn’t get heard until noon though, ya just never know. There are often multiple cases being heard at once.
