  1. Winterfest

  2. Christmas Village

  3. South Philly neighborhoods, about everything south of Snyder. Both sides of Broad.

South Philly is excellent. There is a a few blocks that really go all out, but for the long fe of me, I can’t remember exactly.

Franklin Square is nice as well.

Sadly, as I’ve been doing for some time, might be a good idea to have some sort of self defense mechanism. This city is a mess.

Jefferson Square has a solid lights display. Can easily just chill out on a bench there for a while.

if you don't mind a little travel, Enchant in DC is the world's largest Christmas maze. I just got back from there and it's pretty impressive.

Others have mentioned the Miracle on S 13th Street (East Passyunk area). Easy to get to via public transportation (bus or Broad Street Line) and lots of nearby places to grab a meal or drink while you're there.

Closer to Center City, Franklin Square has an hourly holiday light show.

In deep South Philly, Smedley Street just off Oregon - the whole block does decorations.

I recall one around 6th & League Streets (Bella Vista/Queen Village area) but I haven't been over there this month so not sure if they are still doing it.

City Hall has a lot going on including a ferris wheel, ice skating and the Christmas Village.

Enjoy!

Check the times online, but the light shoe at Macy’s is always a treat. You could also checkout the Christmas Carol walk through also in Macy’s, and the pop over the the Christmas village at City Hall, or stop in to Reading Terminal for an awesome meal.

If you’re up for a longer walk, South Philly Striders did their annual light run recently. This is the route they follow marked with lit streets.

Colorado St (between 17 &18) at Oregon should be part of the tour.

I just went last night at 9pm and it was great. Yeah, the “good” time slots are sold out, but OP wasn’t asking about that. I just looked and there are 9:30 pm time slots available, and morning and afternoon timeslots too. And once you hit Jan 2, you have your choice.
