Secret Circus (sketchy area but very solid place) & Awakenings Pole studio in Manayunk!
I haven't been to either in a long time but I definitely enjoyed my time at both places. Only stopped going due to money.
Was planning on going back & trying out Amrita. Any particular reason you didn't enjoy it?

Amrita is totally unwelcoming. I’ve been on and off for the past five years since I live in the neighborhood, and after a few classes I always remember why I stopped going the last time.
Idk it’s a great space and yes a great workout. Some Of the people there seem to have made a community but I’ve never felt like it was an inclusive environment.

Oof... Definitely something I was concerned about when looking at the place since it's a bit of a distance for me & knew I'd be quite frustrated driving all that way for an unwelcoming atmosphere for newcomers.
I'll keep this in mind if I ever choose to try it out but I've got nothing but positive things to say about my experiences with the two I listed.
Bonus mention for the Philly circus school if you want to do more with sling/aerial arts in general. Most expensive out of them all but fantastic folks.

Thanks so much for your response! These both look like great options, will have to check them out.
My issue with Amrita is yes, the space is a bit sterile (though I never have felt unwelcome per se) but specifically with the aerials class, the teacher is a bit…spacey? I went to several classes and she consistently forgot/had to be reminded to do moves on both sides, the flow in her classes was very jarring, and just generally the class wasn’t super enjoyable. I’d be willing to try again but I’d have to be convinced. But the other classes I’ve taken there have been fine, the community hot flow on Sundays is a great value.
