I recently moved here. I accepted a job that will require me to go from philly to jersey and back at least once a day, possibly more. My company gives me $500 for benefits and expenses, so I either get them to pay for healthcare or tolls, but not both.
Is there ANYYYYYY way to save money on this hellish commute?
Edit: I’m a traveling therapist (BCBA), I live in philly, I have clients that live in both PA and NJ. Why? Because the process for me to get a license to practice can take over a year, and I’m still in the process, so most of my clients are in NJ but a few that don’t need a license are in PA. I see multiple clients a day, I don’t really get to choose when I go where.
Update: I spoke to HR at length and its as I said it, $500 for benefits total. Benefits include healthcare, life insurance, tolls/parking, home office, cell phone, etc… but I only get $500. I chose to get healthcare ($405), dental ($28) and use the rest on tolls ($67). This blows because I had to choose the cheapest healthcare option available… hopefully I don’t get sick.
Thanks for all the help!
