Ok I get it if you have a car, it’s often much more convenient to drive yourself. But if you’re going from somewhere next to an el station to another place next to another el station, and call an Uber instead of taking the el, you’re wasting time and money over a mostly irrational fear. Yeah shit happens on septa, but shit happens on the street too, which everyone has to walk on at some point whether you’re ubering or whatever. I feel like it’s transplants moreso than Philly natives, so maybe part of it is that they just don’t know how to septa or where it goes; but it does piss me off when people knowingly and blatantly opt for Uber on an extremely easily septable trip because “my friend is with me”…ok I’m done ranting
