Hey everyone, i’m looking to see if there’s a place to find DnD groups in the city. I’m just learning and so far my experience is just playing DM for my group of also beginner friends online. Was hoping to find a beginner friendly group, preferably one that doesn’t take things too seriously, so i can get some experience as a player. If anyone can point me to some online groups, or gaming shops or some kind of resource for finding local parties.

Dungeons and Drafts puts on events at local bars; more of a one off than a group but it’s a good opportunity to get some experience

Redcaps Corner is a gaming store in West Philly that has multiple D&D groups of different levels. They also rent miniatures, mini buildings and geographic features if you are into miniature campaigning. The high XP level groups are sometimes intimidating, so just ask to be paired with a beginners group. Also they have a great selection of board games. Good luck!
